Sticky Honey Soy Ginger Chicken

Summary

This sticky honey soy chicken recipe is perfect with fluffy rice and salad for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

8 chicken thighs

1/4 cup honey

3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (GF)

2 tsp garlic, crushed

1 tbsp ginger, crushed

1/4 tsp white pepper

1 tsp sesame oil

Sesame seeds, to top

Spring onions, sliced, to top

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200’C. Prepare a baking dish.

  2. In a frying pan over high heat, briefly sear chicken thigh on both sides until golden. Remove from heat and place in a baking dish.

  3. In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, white pepper and sesame oil.

  4. Pour sauce over browned chicken. Bake in the oven uncovered for 40 minutes or until cooked through.

  5. Top with sesame seeds and spring onions and serve with rice (for your level) and salad or vegetables.
