Sticky Pork Smashed Tacos

Quick, tasty and incredibly easy!

Ingredients

8 mini tortillas

500g Pork mince

1 tbsp Soy

2 tsp Honey

2 tsp Garlic

2 tsp Ginger 

Small pinch of salt

1/4 tsp white pepper 

Pickled onions

Coriander

Spring onions


Glaze:

1 tbsp Soy sauce

1 tsp Honey

1/2 tsp Sesame oil

1 tsp Sesame seeds

2 tbsp Hoisin 

1/4 Lime 

1 tsp Ginger 

1 tsp garlic


Utensils

Medium bowl

Spoon

Frying pan

Tongs

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine pork mince with seasonings.

  2. Evenly distribute mince on tortillas and flatten out. Heat a frying pan over medium heat.

  3. Add glaze ingredients to a pan and cook down until thick and sticky. Set aside in bowl. 

  4. In the same pan (don't clean), place tortillas mince side down and cook for 3 minutes on each side or until cooked through. In the last minute, brush mince with sticky glaze.

  5. Top with pickled onions, coriander, spring onions. Optional, you may like to add cucumber and carrot for a fresh crunch!
