7 inspiring Aussie babes
For those of you not living down under, Australia Day is a celebration of everything it means to be Australian.
In honour of this, we’ve picked 7 Aussie Babes (in no particular order) who make inspire us to keep setting huge goals, knowing we have the potential to reach them!
Creative and Managing Directors of Sabo Skirt.
While both Thessy and Yiota were studying, working part-time and blogging, this powerful team launched an online store. Working like mad for nine months, they got their opportunity when a cocktail dress went viral. Instead of riding the wave, these switched on women used their business minds to launch their own label – Sabo Skirt and have been going from success to success ever since!
As if you need even more inspiration from these two, their insta has 1.6m followers and is so beautifully created we fall in love with everything they post. }
These women are both mothers, business women and all round beautiful beams of inspiring energy.
2010 Vogue Paris model of the decade, screen and stage actress
Yeah, that title is impressive and probably doesn’t do this talented women justice. Gemma is a super model - the youngest ever to appear on an American Vogue cover and her modelling accolades just get more impressive from there. But, being the strong ambitious woman that she is, beyond modelling she has also featured in the Australian Indie Film, The Black Balloon.
7 time World Surf League Champion
Stephanie is on track to become the most dominant female surfer in history. Winning her first title in 2007, claiming her most recent title in 2018, she has inspired an entire generation of women to go pro in a sport traditionally lead by men. Here’s to equality everywhere! We love her vibes and are completely obsessed with watching her every move in the water.
Editor & Founder of the Collective hub
With no experience she launched a magazine when everyone said print was dead she trusted her gut. The result? A successful magazine, entire digital lifestyle platform, becoming a public speaker and over 400 books published...plus becoming an international public speaker and all round inspiration for woman everywhere! Lisa inspires us to trust our gut even when the world is telling us no.
Channel 9, ‘Today’ Host
The first aboriginal woman to host a commercial talk show, starting out as a political correspondent from the day she graduated. She's read the news on triple J and campaigns for the rights of aboriginal women. We have complete faith that Brooke is going to on to achieve awesome things and help more indigenous people come into the spotlight.
Humanitarian, Athlete & Motivator
Turia is represents everything we aspire to be! After surviving a horrific fire resulting in burns to over 65% of her body, she completes ironman's, runs ultra marathons, recently became a mother and constantly works on her recovery and inspiring others to do the same. Proof that you are your own greatest asset!
We could keep this list going forever, but instead we’re going to focus all our energy on absorbing inspiration from these women so we can be the best versions of ourselves! Happy Australia Day everybody.
