Let's talk Running!
Not everyone is a runner, BUT, everyone who starts running and commits to this new addition to their fitness routine - LOVES it.
Running has many benefits! Here are some we love:
  • help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise
  • strengthen muscles
  • improve cardiovascular fitness
  • burn plenty of kilojoules
  • help maintain a healthy weight.
If you're completely new to running, here are some tips:
  • You should start with brisk walking, progress to jogging and work up to running. This could take a few months but less if you have a good level of fitness already.
  • Start running with a friend to keep yourself accountable
  • Mix up running with other forms of exercise to build your cardio fitness.
