And on top of trying to maintain a social life, visit family, eat well, study hard whilst having a list of tasks and to-do's constantly swirling around your head can be pretty overwhelming.

LEARN TO PRIORITISE.
From only just making that deadline to running late for that morning meeting or checking off the 100th thing on your to-do list, we understand life gets chaotic. Learning to prioritise your time can be the most beneficial skill you acquire this year. To get you started, you’ll want to schedule your time. Begin by listing all the tasks you have on your plate for the week. Then, you’ll need to prioritise your tasks by ranking them in order of importance. This will ensure you nail every impending deadline before it’s due. This includes scheduling time to workout out. It’s easy to sacrifice exercise for other things that feel more important, but remember - health should always be first!
REFLECTION, REFLECTION, REFLECTION.
Before you can look forward to the week ahead, the golden rule is to reflect on the week that was! This is your opportunity to look back on the work you accomplished and seek out the remaining tasks lingering on your to-do list.
Be sure to also use this time to celebrate your successes from the week, because girl you deserve it! No matter how small a victory, always allow yourself time to celebrate what you’ve achieved. This will also set yourself up with a feel-good vibe for the following week!

When Friday rolls around all we can seem to think about is clocking off early and hitting the beach. But when it comes to planning, using this time to your advantage could be the make or break between you finally getting that promotion as well as your window of opportunity to getting ahead (umm, yes pls). Whether it’s sacrificing an hour or two on a Sunday to get a better grasp on your workload, you’ll be forever grateful come Monday morning. Say hello to stress less starts and goodbye panic mode!
PLAN YOUR WEEK BY SCHEDULING YOUR DAYS.
A blank calendar can feel pretty overwhelming at first. However, once you get into the habit of planning in advance, it’s going to get much easier. To help you out with this final stage, we’ve got a few handy tips to keep in mind:
- Create weekday themes.
Creating a solid foundation based on themes for each day will allow you to handle specific tasks on certain days so you can always anticipate the kinds of things you’ll be working on. For example, Monday could be ‘Admin Day,’ with Tuesday being ‘Client Day,’ followed by ‘Project Management’ for a Wednesday and so on.
- Blocking off your time for better time management.
Next, you’ll need to estimate how long a task will take you to accomplish and block it off in your calendar. Sounds super simple, but this little trick will have you reaping all kinds of benefits. Be mindful to also allow yourself some buffer room for times when tasks run over.
