Covid-19 is here. Here's how you can best prepare.
Okay so, I am sure you have already heard about the coronavirus or COVID-19. It seems we are facing a pandemic virus which is something like out of a movie.
Let's just get some things clear before we move on to how you can best protect yourself and what you can do to give your body the ability to thrive under these circumstances. Some reports show that catching COVID-19 virus can be very dangerous for people who are sick and the elederly. On the flipside most of the studies are showing that healthy people will be less affected. I don’t know about you but I’m doing everything I can to be as healthy as possible( boosting my immunity) as-well as maintaining a high level of hygiene through these times to avoid it altogether.
Firstly let’s compare symptoms:
The COVID-19 virus has similar properties to the flu but more intense. It also appears to have a higher fatality rate studies are only small as it is a new phenomena. It is a new strain we know little about the treatment at this stage seems it’s ability to spread is also higher than the flu.
Of 44,672 cases of the corona virus studied in China 80. Ok 9% of the cases were deemed to be considered mild and 4.7% were critical. Most of the severe cases were related to people over 80 and , there are 0.2% reported critical cases for people between the ages of 10-39.
In summary, yes the virus seems to spread quickly and affect older people or people with immunity or respiratory problems but most of us (if we contract it) will get flu-like symptoms.
My suggestion is not to panic, but act responsibly with regards to your human hygiene and social distancing to slow the spread. Follow all the guidelines set out by the government.
Pay special attention to your health at this time. Take this seriously and prepare your body accordingly. The key here is to strengthen you IMMUNITY. I can't stress this enough. Here are some important steps you can take right now to make sure you are in the best physical health to fight off or deal with this virus if you come into contact with it.
Breathing properly helps us eliminate any toxins that are in our system. Breathing properly can help our lymph system and triple the production of our white blood cells which are essential to our bodies immunity and our ability to fight off viruses like the COVID-19.
Try this simple exercise; Breath in for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, breathe out for 4 counts. Don this for 10 breaths just 3 times per day and feel the effects that it has on your mindset and your energy levels. I suggest doing this when you are alone in your car, at home or even better in nature like a garden or a park.
Sunshine is a great way of increasing our bodies circulation and increasing our white blood cells and our immunity. The sun is essential to our health. It is a great source of energy. It feeds the plants that we eat and has amazing effects on our body
We get vitamin D from the sun. Vitamin D is essential for increasing our bodies ability to fight disease and viruses like the coronavirus. Try to get some sun each day when the uv is at its lower points. i.e before 10 and after 2pm in the day. It is important to build up your time in the sun slowly and not to burn so please take that into consideration. If you are not getting any sun potentially start at 5 minutes per day and build up to 20 minutes.
Water is what helps transport nutrients around our bodies and takes waste and toxins out of our bodies. By staying hydrated we give our bodies a better chance of passing viruses that we get into contact with.We should be drinking 1 litre per 22kg of body weight .Therefore if you weigh 60kg you should be drinking 3.3L of water per day. Most of us probably aren't drinking this much, so try and up your water consumption. A good technique to start the day is to drink 750ml on rising. This will hopefully flush your system of any toxins/ bacteria and is also a good way to kickstart your metabolism.
Exercise is a great way to flush bacteria from the lungs and airways to increase blood cells. Exercise also increases the number of white blood cells and antibodies that are used to detect and fight infections. Exercise also reduces stress and in turn increases the body's immunity. We have an awesome at home program that takes 18 minutes a day and can be done in the comfort and safety of your home. It’s our most popular program that we have find out more here.
Getting the right amount of vitamins and minerals are essential in helping boost our bodies immunity. Rather than trying using food to help you feel better when you are already sick, change your mindset bro! Eating a broad spectrum nutritional plan full of fresh fruit and veggies can support your immunity now. Make sure you include citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons, broccoli, garlic, ginger, spinach, kiwi fruits, papaya amongst others to give yourselves the best chance.
In flu season it's always a good idea to up your intake of vitamins and mineral that boost your immunity

Use super greens too help alkaline your body and help your vitality. By keeping your body's alkaline level at 6.8-7.2 you will give your body a greater chance of avoiding the virus and also the severity of it if you do get it.
Colloidal silver spray is a great natural way to kill unwanted bacteria. As a preventive measure consider getting a colloidal silver spray for your mouth and throat.
Once again wash your hands!
Be careful when you open doors in public. Try to open doors with your closed fist or hip - do not grasp the handle with your hand, unless there is no other way to open the door and then wash your hands.
Also remember Use disinfectant wipes when you visit a public location. Wash your hands with soap for 30 seconds regularly or use hand sanitizer as much as possible
